Privacy Policy
Realty by the Sea, LLC ("we," "us") respects your privacy. We collect only the information needed to answer your inquiry and help you buy, sell, rent, or manage a home on windward Oʻahu — and we never sell your information. This page explains what we collect and the choices you have.
Information we collect
When you use our contact/inquiry form or reach out to us, we collect only what you provide:
- Your name
- Email address
- Phone number (optional)
- Your message — the details of your real-estate or property-management inquiry
If you're an owner or tenant with a portal account, we also process the information needed to manage your property or lease — account login, property and unit details, lease terms, rent and payment history, maintenance requests, and documents you upload.
How we use it
- To respond to your inquiry and provide the real-estate or property-management services you ask about.
- To operate owner/tenant portals — track rent, collect payments, send owner payouts, and handle maintenance.
- To contact you by email, phone, or text about your inquiry, lease, or account.
- To keep ordinary business records as a licensed brokerage.
Payments & bank connections
We do not store your card or bank credentials. Online rent payments and owner payouts are handled by Stripe, a secure payment processor. If you choose to link a bank account, that connection is powered by Plaid — you sign in on your bank's own page, and your banking login is never seen or stored by us. Each provider handles your data under its own privacy policy.
Accounts, portals & security
Owner and tenant portals are private and access-controlled: each tenant sees only their own unit, and each owner sees only their own properties. Portal data is stored on Supabase (enterprise Postgres) with row-level security so accounts stay isolated, and is encrypted in transit and at rest.
How your information is shared
Inquiries are delivered to Gloria's inbox and stored in the service providers we use to run the business (for example, our email provider). We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We share it only with providers that help us operate, with parties you ask us to work with on your transaction, or where required by law.
Text messages
If you give us your phone number, you agree we may contact you by call or text about your inquiry. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out anytime by replying STOP or telling us.
Fair Housing
Realty by the Sea is an Equal Housing Opportunity broker. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, national origin, or any other class protected by federal or Hawaiʻi fair-housing law.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry and client records as long as needed to serve you and to meet our legal and recordkeeping obligations as a licensed brokerage, then delete or anonymize them.
Your choices & rights
You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, and opt out of calls/texts anytime. Depending on where you live (including California residents under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights — we honor these requests regardless of where you live.
Children's privacy
Our site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll change the "Last updated" date above.
